Recently in a sermon - "7 fragrance of a Christian" it strikes me that my prayers are in poor state!
Prayers are often referred as the life-line of a Christian b'cos it essentially connects us to God. It's the only tools whereby we can communicate to Him. Does every Christian, pray regularly? I would like to believe that we all do - at least once or twice a day.
However, when times are good and life is smooth sailing, most of us tends to lose focus in our prayers. Eventually, our prayers became like a ritual for us. We repeat roughly the same prayer contents in the morning and evening, day-in day-out. We tell ourselves, we've prayed and had performed our duty.
Mmmm... when did prayer became a duty? And when did our prayer became like a piece of text that we'll recite every time we kneel to pray?
"...in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not therefore like unto them:.." - Mat 6:7-8
How have you been praying? Are you awaken just like I am?
